Whenever I open up Processing, it opens up and immediately shuts down.

Did you install the right version, 32 or 64 bit?
Have you tried to uninstall (by removing the processing-3.5.4 folder) and reinstalling it again?

I have installed and uninstalled it

Did you also try disabling firewall or anti-virus?
Without giving any error messages, it"s difficult to track down
