Use Vim commands in the Processing Development Environment (PDE)?

I would like to use vim commands (and perhaps syntax highlighting) in the PDE editor. I searched the documentation, but didn’t find much. If this is possible, please provide detailed instructions (or a reference).

The Processing PDE (IDE) is output only to the console.
