Hi everyone I am Nabeera from Karachi, Pakistan a creative technologist, researcher and software engineer! I am the founder of Code Circles, where we organize creative coding workshops to explore programming for intention, community and fun. We have already curated workshops introducing folks to openprocessing and html/css/js programming.
I am interested in hosting a PCD in Karachi which has a budding community of programmers and artists. Exact format and logistics need to be finalised
Hihi I’m Sarah Ciston, friend of p5js projects, co-host of a past PCD LA at USC, and interested to host a PCD in Cologne (Köln), Germany, at my new art university lab space. Also I’m quite late to the party this year. @sableraph I’m wondering if it would be too late to host a PCD Köln in mid-November, given our academic calendar?

We recommend October so it’s easier to coordinate communications, but if that’s not an option for you, you can pick a different time. No worries!

The official PCD submission period has now closed, and we have a whopping 50 cities registered on day.processing.org!
Congratulations to all of you 
If you didn’t get to submit before the deadline, don’t worry. You can still submit an event at any time. It may just take a little longer for me to review it, and I won’t be able to merge updates as consistently. I review all submissions and event updates to the processing-community-day repository by hand, and each one takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Doesn’t sound like much, but it adds up. From now, I’ll probably review and merge new submissions about once a week or every two weeks, as my workload allows. I appreciate your patience.

Quick heads-up: there’s currently a GitHub bug affecting pre-populated issue forms. If you click “Edit this event data” and try to change any field, GitHub immediately restores the previous value as you type instead of keeping your edit.
I’ve reported the issue to GitHub Support.
In the meantime, if you need to update your event, you can edit your event’s files directly and open a Pull Request instead:
Go to https://github.com/processing/processing-community-day/tree/main/pcd-website/src/content/events
Open your pcd-mycity-2026/ folder.
Edit metadata.json and/or content.md.
Submit a Pull Request.

Hello PCD team,
PCD is taking place for the first time in Nepal, and it will be a small event of around 20-30 people. We have secured the venue, and we have decided to provide some light snacks (it’s good for networking).
I had a question about promotion, our event is already on day.processing.org PCD @ Kathmandu, Nepal 2026 . Does processing foundation also help promote the event on Instagram or LinkedIn?

Quick update on the editing bug mentioned above: I received a reply from GitHub Support, but the issue is still happening. @aashishpanthi found a clever workaround, so you can use that approach for now.

Ahora trabajo en el Tecnológico de Monterrey como profesor de arte digital y estoy organizando el evento para Querétaro, tendremos un par de charlas, talleres y una pequeña muestra de proyectos; aún no actualizo los datos porqué estoy esperando la confirmación para un recinto público y hacerlo más accesible a otras personas fuera de la universidad donde trabajo que en caso de no poderse sería mi segundo plan.

My name is Enrique García-Alcalá and I live in Querétaro, México. This is the second time I’ve organized a PCD event, the first time was about 8 years ago and I did it in Mexico City at the place I worked (Centro de Cultura Digital). Now I work at Tecnológico de Monterrey as a digital art professor and I’m organizing the event for Querétaro. We’ll have a couple of talks, workshops, and a small project showcase. I haven’t updated the details yet because I’m waiting for confirmation on a public venue to make it more accessible to people outside the university where I work —,if that doesn’t work out, my second plan would be to use the university space.

I hope the preparation is going well. I just concluded PCD @Kathmandu yesterday. Since this was the first PCD in Nepal, we didn’t have a lot of participants. But a good number of high school students and undergrads showed up. We had a creative coding jam; participants used p5.js to make different arts, and we concluded PCD with networking over pizza.
