How do I increase the mouse pointer size in the editor?
Hi @Barrowman and welcome to the forum!
The Processing editor doesn’t have a setting to change the mouse pointer size. You’ll need to adjust it in your operating system’s accessibility or display settings.
On Windows: Settings → Accessibility → Mouse pointer and touch
On macOS: System Settings → Accessibility → Display → Pointer size
On Linux: usually under Settings → Accessibility or Mouse & Touchpad.
Thanks but I have already got it to a large size within the operating system. I am on Linux Mint Cinnamon and its adjusted there under Settings/Preferences/ mouse and touchpad. The pointer is large there but is soon as I move the mouse to within the editor window it gets very small and changes shape to bieng like a capital I. To give you an idea of how different it would be in Libreoffice writer for example normally text would be perhaps 36 px but in this case it drops to about 8px. So it’s very difficult to see where it is. I’m really not exaggerating. I’m not using the snap as I don’t have it on my system but am using a version of processing from my distribution. Which is a flathub version 4.3. Each time I start it up it tells me there is a new version but the link just takes me to a snap version.
Hello @Barrowman ,
Try the scaling settings in Preferences:
I am curious and look forward to your feedback.
:)
Hi, sorry but scaling made no difference to anything as far as I can see.
It doesn’t for me. I upped the font to 48 and it changed but not the pointer.
