Discussion regarding "Native Python and Processing" GSoC 2022 Idea

Hi everyone,

I’m a junior computer graphics and research engineer. With gsoc 2022 giving a chance to non-student developers to get connected with open source communities, I want to contribute to Processing Foundation and learn more about computer graphics and rendering. I’m interested in the “Native Python and Processing” idea mentioned in the idea list.
I’ve prior experience using opengl and have made few basic raster based renderers.

Sorry, for the bad news. But I think there are no mentors available for p5py(Native python version of processing). I also thought of pursuing the same project but after contacting the maintainers of the project, they told there are no mentors(as far as they know) for applied this year for the mentoring.
