Adding Functionality to Extended Code Completion

Hello!

As a learning exercise, I was exploring Jonathan Dahlberg’s Extended Code Completion.

I changed it to read a .json file to allow users to add their own macros.

I think it is stable enough and useful enough to warrant sharing with the community.

Is that allowed? Is there a way to contribute like this? How would I adequately give Jonathan Dahlberg credit?

Thank you very much,
Josh

Hi! Welcome to the forum

That is a good question. I checked their code and in fact there is no license file or header attached to the code. Of course the best way is to contact Jonathan, but I can’t find their contact. Because it’s open source, I would probably release the modified version with MIT or BSD license, and that wouldn’t be a problem.
