We have updated our FAQ to clarify the importance of proper code attribution. Specifically, the following paragraph was added to the Post Only Your Own Stuff section:
Always credit the original sources when sharing code or content created by others. Do not claim or imply authorship of code that you did not write yourself, regardless of the license it is under (including CC0 and public domain code).
Note: This is not meant as a change of rules and is not a response to any recent posts. It is only intended to offer more explicit guidance on behavior that has always been expected in our community.
