Why do I at occasion see //<>// in the editor?

At occasion I see //<>// in the Processing editor. Usually it is at the top of the main pde file but I now did find it in the middle of another file as well.

I’m sure I did not put it in there. What is the purpose? I did find this old topic (Why does sometimes //<>// appear at the top of my sketch?) but it does not have an answer :wink:

They are indicators for the breakpoints that have been set in the debugger
