I did a quick search but I couldn’t find anything relevant. Whenever I autoformat (ctrl+t) a file in processing ide, if I open the same file in vscode, some of the lines have //<>// at the end

Do you mean that you have the same file open in vscode at the same time – and then autoformat in PDE, causing those marks to instantly appear in the vscode pane?
Or are you editing in PDE, saving and closing,then opening in vscode and seeing those comments?
