Just checking what I think I have understood from elsewhere … although I have various emulators working in AS, these cannot be used from within Processing … is that correct?

Not right now. There is a GSoC project looking to improve the emulator section. Hopefully the student working on this project gets to see your post as it is very relevant to his work.
Currently, the emulator is fixed to port 5566 (I think). So if you have an emulator of interest to launch, it has to be done manually from the command line using this port and Processing should be able to use it when you click: Run on emulator. I might need to do more testing to figure this part correctly.

Yes I guessed that was the case. Not a big issue for me but would be a good enhancement at some time
