Hello all!
Processing Community Day will take place in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates at Fikra Campus on February 2nd, 2019. It will be co-organized by Salem Al Qassimi (Founder and Principal of Fikra), Eleanora Cervellera (Head of Strategy and Cultural Programs at Fikra) and Ali Al-Saqban (Founder and Architect at Synovial).
Fikra Campus (http://fikradesigns.com/about-us/) is a wonderful design studio and a pleasant communal space, with a penchant for experimental works in graphic design. They are currently involved with the inaugural graphic design biennial (https://fikrabiennial.com/) set to open in early November, as well as a set of monthly talks, a designer residency, and other programs that engages the community and facilitate dialogues across different disciplines. We look forward to hosting PCD @ Sharjah as a way of activating the creative coding community here and facilitate a recurring, sustainable culture around poetic computation that could turn into design works, collaborations, and open calls.
Updates and planning events will be announced here. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in participating or have ideas regarding the day.
