Hello! I wanted to make certain I created a thread for community members interested in discussing and asking questions related to the Radical Pedagogy track for PCD@LA 2019.
Below, you will find a brief description and some issues and topics to be covered.
The track coordinator is A.M. Darke
The Radical Pedagogy track welcomes proposals that considers compassion, critical thought, and nuance as a core experience in teaching and learning. We are interested in applications that put an emphasis on:
- Marginalized history and storytelling
- Inclusive pedagogy and curriculum building
- Building bridges between institutional, non-profit, DIY, and grassroot communities
- Experimental teaching tools and materials
You can find the other track descriptions here: https://day.processing.org/pcd-la-tracks.html 3
Thanks,
Dorothy

Thanks Dorothy! I am very interested. I am a bit confused. Do we apply to participate via the Open Call?
A.M. Drake - can you guide or just simply confirm that we apply via Open Call?

Thank YOU so much for joining the conversation. I should have posted the Open Call link. Please see below.
https://day.processing.org/pcd-la-opencall.html
As noted, the Open Call ends on 8/31, which is soon, but here are the types sessions you can propose:
Each session should address a specific track and run for 45 minutes, and you are in charge of the session format — it can be a workshop, a forum, a group project, a mini-hackathon etc. A session can fill up to 35 people. Please make a note in your application if your proposed session has a limit of attendees.
Here is the form to propose a session: PCD @ Los Angeles - Session Proposal

You can propose a lightning talk here:
PLEASE feel free to reach out with any additional questions and/or concerns!
