Need some help with a whack-a-mole

I need help because I’m new to Processing and I was wondering how to create a timer for a little game (a whack-a-mole game with cubes instead of moles).

I need to finish the code quickly (in less than a week) and I REALLY need help.

By the way, I’ve already seen a few posts on this topic, but I don’t understand any of them.
