My first Processing 1.51 game

Here is the sketch on openprocessing.org
Originally coded with Processing 1.51 ported to openprocess.org

W,A,S,D controls
W - up , A - left , S - back , D - right
Press ‘F’ or ‘f’ to toggle flight mode
Drag the mouse to look around
Press 1,2,3,4 to cycle visual modes

Very impressive
:+1::smile:

When you say 1.5.1 I assume you mean Java mode so I assume the port to OP involves converting Java to JavaScript. Do you do that by hand or have you created or use an application to do the conversion?

I have a workflow…

processing.org 1.51 first 100% pixels
then processing.org 1.51 with glgraphics using codeanticode

the problem is that I have to do a lot of coding to get it to work with glgraphics

Once I knew how to put the .gsl and .vert files in the data folder. I was excited.
Then I moved on to seeing how I can get it onto openprocessing.org that was no small feat.

Then I learned i can have the .vert and .glsl files directly in the openprocessing.org js file

Remember all of my sketches are 100% pixels. GSL shaders are great at volumetric fog, complex shaders, which I did not take the time to learn but I know pixels. Once I found a way to get it to work for a standard openprocessing.org the rest was hard work and patience.

No I don’t use any other assistance. I code for fun and I love processing 1.51
I have no issues with the new versions. They just don’t allow me the flexibility that 1.51 has.

If you ever wanted to see my flow or see the code let me know.

Me too!

I first became aware of Processing in late 2008 / early 2009, that would have been version 1.0.1 and have been involved creating libraries and responding to forum posts ever since.

Just makes what you do all the more impressive.
