We are hosting a L5 Community Jam starting this Friday September 25 and running until October 3.
This is a great chance to try out L5. The easiest starting point for those with previous experience with p5.js or Processing is to use VS Codium or VS Code along with the new L5lua extension.
You could start by porting a previous p5 sketch to L5 and building on it from there.
Some more ideas:
- Reimagine what a digital zine could be.
- Build an interactive artwork.
- Create a new tool for you or a small community.
- Use hand-drawn images or your own photographs.
- Keep a devlog! We are super interested in reading about your process.
- Ask questions and share resources in the community page!
Public exhibition
We’ll be picking submissions to exhibit in an IRL exhibition at Processing Community Day in New York at NYU on October 3 (the end of the jam), especially presenting them on a pop-up cyber cafe of older computers running L5. We’re excited to present work made for the jam.
