My name is Saumya Karnwal, and I am a new contributor aspiring to participate in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2024. I recently came across the Processing repository and noticed that it appears to be active. I am eager to contribute and have already addressed an issue labeled “help wanted.”
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could kindly review my contribution (its been over a week). fixed issue#750 ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException by SaumyaKarnwal · Pull Request #816 · benfry/processing4 · GitHub
Additionally, I am seeking guidance on whether I should continue contributing to the Processing repository or if there are alternative repositories that may better align with my goals.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to any guidance you can provide.
Hello @SaumyaKarnwal and thanks for your contribution!
The active repository for Processing 4 is at the following link https://github.com/processing/processing4
The issue you are referring to has been solved here but there are many other issues under the “help wanted” label which are still open. If you’re interested to contribute, please feel free to ask in the replies under any of them.

In the meantime, you can check our GSoC 2025 Project Ideas List.
If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to offer guidance.
