AudioIn only returns noise (Windows 10)

I wanted to try out the FFT class in processing.
The example code did not work, as it wasn’t showing any result.
A slight variation showed that the AudioIn did in fact get Information also I was checking the amplitude. It was around 1.5E-5.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

How is your hardware setup? Do you have a CD player attached to your PC?

I am using a Laptop with a CD-Drive.
