Seeking Your Input: What Tutorials & Documentation Does p5.js Need Next?

Hello everyone! :waving_hand:

As suggested by Kit, I’m opening this Discourse thread to gather your valuable feedback and ideas. I’m currently working on creating beginner-friendly tutorials and community resources for p5.js, especially in light of the exciting new features coming with the p5.js 2.0 release.

I’d love to know:

  • What kinds of documentation, examples, or tutorials do you feel are currently missing or could be improved?
  • Are there specific new features—like the updated typography support with variable fonts and the new methods textToContours and textToModel and other methods —that you think need dedicated tutorials or guides?
  • Should the focus be more on enhancing existing documentation or creating fresh tutorials, particularly around 2.0 features such as async setup, typography, or accessibility improvements?
  • Any tips on formatting, accessibility, or best practices that I should keep in mind while developing these resources?

I’ve reviewed the existing community education resources and the documentation style guides, but your insights will help me prioritize and tailor the content to what the community truly needs.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and collaborating to make p5.js even more accessible and fun for everyone! :folded_hands:

Thanks so much!
Mamatha
