Processing IDE 4.4.4 does not show line in error

It would like to see the issues communicated to users in a simple transparent way.
I don’t have a simple solution for this.
The Processing Community Forum and GitHub may not be used by everyone and if they do come here we could direct them to the issues resources as a first step.

A simplified list to current issues could be linked:

• On the main Processing website where it is easy to find.
• It should be one stop shopping, easy to find and maintained and up to date.
• Links to Processing Community Forum and GitHub if further support is needed.
• Alongside the download would a logical choice:
  Download Processing / Processing.org
• Processing Community Forum may want to have a pinned post linking to it.
• GitHub releases could link to it.

The pixelDensity() is a very common issue!
This would be worthy of an entry in the Troubleshooting Wiki.

Hi , I just found the solution . This fix the problem pixelDensity(1); In fact in version 4.4.1, pixelDensity = 1 by default and in version 4.4.6, pixelDensity = 2 by default (MacBook Pro retina screen)

Processing is currently undergoing a major technical upgrade behind the scenes and, while we work hard to keep everything functioning as expected, some bugs can slip through.

My preference is always a link to a resource that answer questions; in forum posts that I both read and post.
“Teach someone to fish instead of giving them the fish” (short version) empowers users.

I don’t have a simple solution for this.

My efforts to share issues or changes is intended to streamline the communication for everyone.
This may save us all some work and we could direct everyone to one place for the more common ones and educate them about these important resources.

This is one of the common forum issues that is best addressed with a link after the fact:
FAQ - Processing Community Forum < This also directs them to all the other content in the guidelines which the may not have read.

The challenge is to educate new users before they post a topic.

This does show up when a new topic is created and was an effort to educate before posting:

We could require all new users to read the guidelines as a requirement before posting topics:

They would earn a badge for this and this would be a good start to joining the Processing community.
