Is Processing a pure Java platform IDE?

I downloaded eclipse to test some java snippets and examples.

My question now, is the coding system in Processing is exactly the same as in other IDE like eclipse ?

Yep, the third point in the third link:

A language syntax, identical to Java but with a few modifications.
