How do I contribute to the references of p5.js?

I have contributed a few examples to p5js.org, but I want to contribute to references as well. What should I know, or in other words, what should be the prerequisite knowledge for contributing to the references section of p5js.org? So far, I have used JavaScript and p5.js to curate examples. What other things should I know?
