Blank lines at top of console?

Does anyone know:

  • Why my Processing IDE console (macOS) always has ten blank lines at the top before displaying any print output?
  • How to remove this blank space?

There’s some discussion on the old forum that refers to some other old discussion of this topic on the old forum https://forum.processing.org/one/topic/the-processing-console.html - but the link to that main discussion no longer works. Apparently, according to this missing discussion, the verdict was that it isn’t possible to fix.
