Previously it was thought that you should use Gottfreid Haider GLVideo library on the RaspberryPI. However @kll has shown the latest beta release of the processing video2 library works on RaspberryPI. Here I can confirm it also works great with PiCrate (ruby version). Here with my USB web cam and a Steinberg filter applied.
