The "Utah Teapot"

The 'Utah Teapot" model was created 50 years ago and is one of the first to be modeled using Bezier curves.

Drag the mouse to rotate the teapot, use mouse wheel to zoom.

This is a port of a Java version I created 5 years ago (see here).

I love that you can even see inside by looking down the spout :exploding_head:

But how is the tea supposed to get out?

I asked ChatGPT this question and the response was:

The Utah Teapot is a classic 3D computer graphics model created mainly for testing rendering and modeling techniques. In the model, the spout is designed just like a real teapot’s spout — it’s the part where the tea would flow out. However, since it’s just a 3D model and not a functional object, there’s no real “inside” or hollow path for liquid. It’s meant to look correct visually, not actually function as a teapot.
