Problem with writing a String

I’m trying to write a string, that contains data for a thermal printer, which is connected to an arduino.

this does seem to mess up the whole structure of how strings work

this is the original code, which converts the data to a saved file.

Looks like you might be able to do something like this:

serialPort.write( String.format("%02xX", 32) );

That assumes the arduino will begin parsing a two-character hex string after after it receives ‘X’.

Since the original version is constructing a header file to build into the arduino project, I am assuming the method of decoding each message is your choice.
