(did not receive the necessary help, and was able to solve on my own).
Can you show the code you have so far? Please format the code when you post it here in the forum.
Usually if you are able to press the button, you can iterate through LEDs that you load in your display and load their state in an array, 0 for off, 1 for on. You send it to your arduino and it will update each accordingly. Share your code so we can see your initial approach.

Instead of deleting your post it would be nice to leave it there and post the solution that you found even if no one was able to help you.
If someone else faces the same issue he would at least be able to find your solution and maybe it would help him.
