Creating game using Aurdino and Processing

I have written the code for a game using Arduino and Processing where the ball hits the blocks and we get points and a paddle bounces the ball. If the ball misses the paddle and moves out the game ends. I have a button which starts the game and pauses it when pressed. But when I press the button the paddle disappears how do I solve it.
