# Where to activate "intelligent" autocompletion inside preferences.txt?

I remember there is a setting inside `preferences.txt` that enables some kind of “smart” autocomplete. Which one was?

Not that I am aware of…

Many choices are available and I prefer to choose; I also gain some insight from the choices available.

Automatic may make it a bit of a nuisance; I find this with the _Continuously check for errors_ feature and turn that off at times.
