# Tinting a shape in p5js isn't working, how could I tint it then?

I did a little bit of processing and now in p5js I’m trying to tint a shape using tint(); but it won’t work, how should I tint it?

Hello,

I gave this a try…

I looked into the references for tint() and then texture() on the _[https://p5js.org/](https://p5js.org/)_ site.

And then the examples…

I was able to tint an image and then use that to texture a box().
