# PSurfaceFX.java getRenderScale() and getUIScale() not defined

In the Processing source code in PSurfaceFX.java (processing.core.awt.PSurfaceFX.java) around line 250 there are 2 calls to getRenderScale() on an object of type Screen, and 1 call to getUIScale() again on an object of type Screen. However, Eclipse tells me: “The method getRenderScale() is undefined for the type Screen”. Details: jre1.8.0\_201, javaSE-1.8.

I have no idea what I am doing. I am just trying to use the processing functions in my library (for personal use), I don’t know how to build it, I don’t know what the heck and APK is, I don’t know what other information you need, I just want some help

Okay. Start by explaining what you are trying to do. Is this a Java desktop project or an Android project? Did you follow the Processing in Eclipse tutorial to set it up? Where did you get stuck? Can you share your current project, e.g. on github?
