# Processing 4 upgrade

Hello!  
I have not yet installed the Processing 4 release. I’m still running version 3.5.4.  
Will I be able to run older files in the new PDE, or will I need to update files as needed?  
Just wanted to know what to expect if I have to start troubleshooting with the newest version.

I’m running both in parallel (Win10x64). No issues so far opening/running pde files/projects vice versa…
