Hi y’all!

I’m organizing a Processing Community Day 2026 event in Austin, Texas, United States.

I’ll update this thread with more details as planning progresses.

As I’m a professor at UT Austin, I’m aiming to explore hosting the event on campus.

Hello @cathrynploehn,

I’ve merged [PR #149](https://github.com/processing/processing-community-day/pull/149), and `PCD @ Austin` is now live on the PCD map.

You are welcome to share this link with people in your community to invite co-organizers:

Feel free to post on the [main thread](https://discourse.processing.org/t/pcd-worldwide-2026-call-for-organizers/48081) if you have any questions or feedback. I will be checking regularly. I’m here to help ☺

@cathrynploehn thanks for organizing a PCD! I teach in Galveston and hope to bring some of my high school students. My intro electronics class is based on the Makeability Lab’s [physical computing textbook](https://makeabilitylab.github.io/physcomp/) so they’ll be exploring art and technology. No CS courses for me this year, but I’ll check in with my colleague about a joint field trip.
