# Open Kinect for Processing Cannot find Kinect

Hello there,

I’m trying to use kinect in Processing using Shifmann’s libraries, I have installed Kinect SDK and the libusbk with Zadig.

When I start a simple program in processing it says “cannot find devices”

Can somebody help me?

you may or may not have solved this. but could it do with the Kinect version model?

I only say this because for basically _everything_ ive done with Kinect & code, the model 1414 has been hands down the defacto best option to use

this may be the cause, maybe. but that is a wild guess because of my experience having to use the 1414 models
