Hello everyone,

I’m Vaibhav, a Full-stack developer from India. I mainly work with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and TypeScript. I’m new to the Processing Foundation and open-source contribution, and I’m planning to apply for GSoC 2027, if the foundation participates.

So far I have [read the GSoC 2026 thread and ideas list / forked p5.js-web-editor and run it locally / made a few p5.js sketches].

I’d appreciate guidance on:

1. Which repository suits a MERN background (p5.js-web-editor or p5.js-website)?
2. Whether there are beginner-friendly issues or areas where help is needed now.
3. Anything else I should read or do before 2027 applications open.

Thank you for your time and for the welcoming community!
