The two images on the left were generated by chatgpt. The code on the right is my progress so far.
The images on the left is my target. That’s what I am trying to achieve using [processing.org](http://processing.org) 1.51

I am pleased with the results so far.

I really like the **“glassiness”** of the middle rendering. Fantastic.
Any link to the code? I am interested in how you achieved that effect.

Yes I have now moved on to creating 3D letters with the code.

I would love to collaborate with you on the code. Sure. Send me a private message

The two windows one the left are realtime code 100% pixels using [processing.org](http://processing.org) 1.51
The images on the right is where I am headed with the engine

@adaptinnovative I am also interested.

Is there a reason you are doing this with Processing 1.5.1?

I was able to achieve a simple effect with raytracing on Processing 4.5.6 modifying only the pixels:

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex036/uploads/processingfoundation1/original/3X/3/6/365e2aa47cb50f2dd716086f22549d28dbbb7b10.png)

> **[Ray tracing (graphics)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_tracing_(graphics))**
>
> In 3D computer graphics, ray tracing sometimes abbreviated RTX, is a technique for modeling light transport for use in a wide variety of rendering algorithms for generating digital images. On a spectrum of computational cost and visual fidelity, ray tracing-based rendering techniques, such as ray casting, recursive ray tracing, distribution ray tracing, photon mapping and path tracing, are generally slower and higher fidelity than scanline rendering methods. Thus, ray tracing was first deployed...

Your work reminds me of **POV-Ray** (Persistence of Vision Raytracer) which is a free, open-source ray tracing program that’s been around since 1991.

> **[POV-Ray](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/POV-Ray)**
>
> The Persistence of Vision Ray Tracer, most commonly acronymed as POV-Ray, is a cross-platform ray-tracing program that generates images from a text-based scene description. It was originally based on DKBTrace, written by David Kirk Buck and Aaron A. Collins for Amiga computers. POV-Ray is free and open-source software, with the source code available under the AGPL-3.0-or-later license. Sometime in the 1980s, David Kirk Buck downloaded the source code for a Unix ray tracer\[which?\] to his Amiga. He...

A good place to start for those new to pixel manipulation:

Processing 1.51 was the **last** version of processing before it went full on with OPENGL.
Not only that it was the best stable version between 1.x and 2.x of processing.
Also it has a way of doing P3D smooth() that you can’t do with modern day graphic processors.

And its a beast at manipulating pixels and its fast and lightweight. I find the version from 2.5 and upwards are a bit **bloated.** Don’t get me wrong, I use 2,3, and 4 for Android APK creation but you can’t beat 1.51 when it comes to ease of program deployment for Windows.

In regard to this project. I would love to collaborate with you. Let me know @glv@Boleeman
