I need to get at least a number (preferably amplitude/loudness) from a bandpass filter. right now I’m just using the processing sound library. is this adequate? if so; how do I do this?
can I do this multiple times in the same loop with different bandpass filters?

You can try : [amplitude example](https://processing.org/reference/libraries/sound/Amplitude.html)
