I worked on p5py as a fellow under the Processing Foundation where I worked on implementing a 2D renderer based on Skia. I am quite happy with the current beta version, there have been significant performance boosts and sketch rendering quality. I am looking for contributions from the community to test the new renderer and help make the library more feature-complete.

Also, if someone wants to suggest ways to improve the 3D renderer, I would be glad to hear them.

The motivation for this post is that I recently gave a small talk on p5py at a beginner-friendly conference and was amazed by the reaction to creative coding with Python, therefore thought of putting in more effort on the project and releasing a stable version hopefully 🤞. Looking forward to seeing some folks 😃
