# I can't seem to download processing

I keep downloading the windows 64-bit version on my laptop and the 34 just in case and when i download them i open it and it comes up in a 7-bit file manager. I thought it would come up as an application on my homescreen or something. I have no idea how to get it to work

It comes as a `.zip` file. You have to unzip it- you can put it wherever you want (I usually put mine on my desktop).
The unzipped directoy contains a `Processing.exe` file that you can run.

Thank you, I managed to work this out myself a few minutes ago even though this has been annoying me for weeks.
