# How to remove the "loading" message from preload()

Is there a way to remove the “loading” message when the preload function is running? I’m fine with the screen being blank, just need the loading gone. I can’t seem to find the answer in the P5.JS reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi currymike,

Can you please explain what the solution is and not just say that you found the answer ?  
It can be helpful for other users that are facing the same problem and are looking at your post in hope of an answer.

In this case GoToLoop already provided an answer so it is not really relevant here but it can be useful for the future 🙂

GoToLoop’s answer was what I used.
