If it is a seperate problem then, yes, I would start a new topic if I were you. 
Im sure that this is not an indentation problem, maybe its just my ctr c ctrl v button broke

im 100% sure its as always a stupid mistake (indentation or assignement operator )
When dealing w/ language conversion, it’s a really big plus to be able to see the original 1 together w/ the attempted conversion. 
I would love to have a go at helping, but if you start a new topic, then more people will likely help you (or, at least, see the problem).
This problem doesnt come from the old c++ code.
