# Formatting processing in VS Code with Red Hat

Hi, I have recently tried using VS Code for processing, but realized there’s no proper formatter for the language. In [this issue](https://github.com/TobiahZ/processing-vscode/issues/53) in TobiahZ’s processing extension, he mentioned that one could use the Red Hat Java extension for formatting. How can I use Red Hat as the default formatter for .pde? Adding ` "[pde]": {"editor.defaultFormatter": "redhat.java"}` to the VS Code setting file doesn’t work.
