# Android Processing Emulator Not Working

Hello, I am trying to test my android projects with the processing android emulator, but it isn’t working. This is the error I’m getting:  
Emulator process exited with status 1.  
EmulatorController: Emulator never booted. NOT\_RUNNING  
Error while starting the emulator. (NOT\_RUNNING)

Hello @fernandomeneses ,

What is your development environment?

My development environment:

- Processing 4.3.4 or 4.4.4
- Windows 10
- Android Mode 4.6.1

“Run in Emulator” will build and then fail.

Emulator also failed with Processing 4.4.4

Console output:

Trying again it just wants to install the emulator again which is 1.7GB.

You are admirably persistent! I gave up on using the emulator with processing on a pc a few years back. In Android Studio on a Mac I’ve never had any problems.
